Girls Just Wanna... What?

If anybody knows me or read my previous blogs before I deleted and started fresh then you know my love for babies is deep. I got pregnant by my loving husband when I was 18 and gave birth to my first child at 19. At that time I decided to become an expert, and I did that very well. My 3 kids are great and I know ALOT about raising babies now. Putting my own children aside, I have had a big hand in other babies as well. I've worked/volunteered my gifts through out my community. So, just the other day I babysat my niece Kaylee for the first time. I want to share my experience with you and I promise the mother knows and agrees with my every word... so as to not offend anybody. *(but if i did would i care.. hmmm)...

Kaylee, cute enough.....

No, very cute... look at those eyes

Eating her bowl and her snack, good girl....

Mommy left around 9:20a.m., my 4 year old and I took her in the boys room and played toys with her. We both sat on the floor and got out the non-choke-able things that we own and had all kinds of good fun for maybe 10-15 minutes. And thats when it started, a whimper, a tear, a cry. Malachi is like " I didn't scare her, I didn't hurt her... why is she crying?" I picked her up and held her, sat her on my lap and continued to try to make her content. Very soon the whimper became an unmistakable cry. I got up and paced the house with her, changed her diaper, fed her baby food, gave her a bottle.... all in vain, the crying continued.

This was her face for the most part....

None to pleased with my expertise.
I on the other hand was never upset, I understand that not only is she a baby but she is a girl. Life is rough. Being a baby it's hard to communicate your real feelings and people should just figure it out. I understand you've tried everything, but try harder!!! Let alone when it's a girl involved. You think it's hard to have a relationship with a girl that's "mature" try having one with a girl that's not. Eyes opened, girls are high maintenance from birth, really I've seen the difference. I have 2 boys and 1 girl, I love her but oh my....@&*%#.
Especially since I don't deal with this on a regular basis now a days I was very fine with it happening. I just miss babies....

Anyway, after a half hour to 45 min of crying I got a half hour to 45 min of....

A calm, sleeping, peaceful baby...

Chic Soup

I made homemade chicken noodle soup today... for the very first time

I've made soup before, maybe once or twice but it was never very good. This time I got it right.
I didn't "make" the noodles but worked hard on the rest. No store bought stock added, no bouillon cube and it was so so so flavorful.

Plus the homemade bread. Yummy, baked not fried, soft and delicious.
The whole family enjoyed!!!

pasta

I was dreading making a pasta salad for biggest bro's party tomorrow. It's one of many things needed to be done to help prepare. After some motivation...

(oops, I bought this for tomorrow)

(oops, guess I'll have to get more... shh)

Anyway, it turned out to be fun (thank you Jamaica) and colorful (thank you bell peppers) and musical (thank you ipod classic) and tomorrow it will be delicious (thank you me)

911

I remember hubs and I lived in our first apartment. It was only a one bedroom and my first boy was only 1 month old. I was sitting in a chair watching the Today show feeding him, same as most mornings. I have no idea what they were talking about before they cut to this story. I remember one plane had hit and they were showing footage of the building while doing commentary and we saw the second plane approach and make impact before the reporters even knew it had happened. I remember the fear people felt, the sadness, the anger, the want to do something... the unity, if only for a moment, of an otherwise  divided nation. At this time it didn't matter what 'party' you were, if you agreed with war or not, all the issues weren't issues for a moment. For a moment this made everybody feel, talk, dream, think and/or live differently.

Picture Perfect

I realize there are many reasons my mom loves me. Number one might be my charming, outgoing, fun loving, weird personality.

Number two might be my strength and courage and ability to protect her, trust me you wanna back down from this gun fight.

Number three might be how smart I am, you see here I'm already teaching others.
Or it might be my ability to stay untraceable to anyone tracking me down. I can avoid eye contact and make people only see parts of me so I am unidentifiable... see below

Or this part might really piss her off since these were almost perfect pictures but I can't sit my ass still for two frickin seconds.
I like to go with my first idea though!!

Alarm Clock

Hubs and his guy played a little show tonight and for this performance my favorite lines would go something like this

I don't know any better sound than that
How you curse when I wake you up
Smiling because of me
What more can I say
But I bet you didn't see it like this
In any variation
Theres promises for more

So, each of these 7 lines are from 7 different songs preformed this evening... and that is that

Night Vision

These things are pretty cool, they actually work but watch you step and only $35 at walmart... one size fits all...

And very fashionable

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

We had an ugly rainy morning yesterday and this is how my daughter wanted to occupy her time. Coloring Fun!!
This is her giving her older brother a fishing pole, her self a present and her younger brother one of those hats with a spinny thing on it.
This is her with mom and dad

This ones just colorful animal sticker fun

This one is my personal favorite

It's obviously divided in half, on half looking sad in the rain it says "It was a rainy day but it stopped but is was still cloudy." The other half smiling saying "Than the sun came out, I was happy."
Thought it was adorable, thought some might agree, so I shared.
